{Giveaway} Natural Patchwork & I Think Sew!
So, I gather from your comments on the yesterday's giveaway that MANY of us are pretty shy of sewing curves. Well, we're all in good company! Now that I know you won't make fun of me =), I'll show you some more details of my first experience with curves next week!
As of yet we've done two quilts and some dresses in our blogiversary celebration this week. For today's giveaway, I thought you might like to win a copy of Suzuko Koseki's newest book, Natural Patchwork. What, you haven't heard of it? Maybe that's because it's not in store until next week! The kind folks at Shambhala Publications sent me a preview copy, so I'll share some of my favorite pages with you....
As usual, this new addition to the "Make Good: Crafts + Life" Japanese craft book series has a lovely aesthetic, with gorgeous, inspiring photography. Koseki's previous contribution to this series, Patchwork Style, is still one of my favorite sewing books. I will admit that, as with most Japanese craft books, this one seems a bit light on instructions. But if you're an intermediate sewist, you'll do just fine. And it could be just me. I like more words than diagrams! You can preorder this book now at most bookstores.
But there's more! (and it seems today has a bit of a Japanese theme. Happy coincidence!) In my search for special treats you might enjoy, I stopped in my tracks when I came across this pattern:
I would adore a pair of these Kimono Shoes for kicking around the house. Such lovely simplicity! I looked up the pattern company, i think sew, and oh-my-goodness do they have a whole bunch of great stuff!
They have a million cool bags, pouches, shoes for women, shoes for babies and kids, and many other baby items as well.
They also have free downloads, like this patchwork kid's apron, so this is a site I need to spend some time getting to know!
i think sew has agreed to gift our winner 3 patterns of her choosing! To spread the love, we're going to have 2 winners today: one winner receives Natural Patchwork and the other takes all three i think sew patterns. Are you game?
Enter to win! To enter, simply add your comment to this post before 8 am Friday morning (EST). If you're a "no reply" commenter, remember to include your email address in your comment so that I can contact you should you win! I will announce the winner tomorrow morning at Stitched in Color.
Tomorrow is our last day to play. And, I've got to tell you it's another hand-picked bundle + quilt pattern! See you then!!!
