Celebrate Color {Crochet Scarf}

Ok folks, it's less than 2 weeks until the cut off for project entries to win September prizes.  And, I'm a little bit nervous because we have zip, zero, zilch entries in the Yarn category.  Now I know that crochet and knitting aren't the most speediest of crafts, but can you promise me that you're working on something?  Otherwise, I just don't know what we'll do with all that gorgeous yarn and all those yummy Jane Richmond patterns.  Hmm... what would we do?

Today my friend Kate at One Flew Over is sharing a free pattern for your personal edification.  She's done and made that gorgeous mustardy crochet scarf, which quite happily involves just a few basic crochet stitches.  And, goodness, look at how she wears it!  You can download Kate's PDF pattern here and also find it here on Ravelry if you like.

Now off you go to spend some time with your needles or hooks.  It's not too late to cast on a luxurious cowl or start chaining a pretty scarf.  I know you have gifts to make too, if you need an excuse.  Because sometimes we do need an excuse, but always, always, always we need to craft.  Really need to. How else does one stay sane?

What's this I hear?

**  "Rachel, I made the most fabulous, most spiffy scarf, but how do I enter my fine crafty goodness?"  Details here.
**  "Prizes, what prizes?"  Take a gander.
** "Wait a minute, I missed something, what IS Celebrate Color?"  Oh, did I skip that?  Nope, here ya go.

Or, if you're the quite type, just stop by Celebrate Color central for ongoing updates to all our going-ons.  The deadline's September 26th people!  See you there.
