Dandelion pillow
Psst! I have a surprise! My mom is going to show up any moment with the kids in tow. She picked them up yesterday for a sleepover (yes, I'm completely spoiled). Anyways, while she was here, we made plans for a pillow I'd make her
sometime to coordinate with her
Sparklers quilt.
Hehehe... it's done! Can't wait to see her expression!
The Sparklers Quilt is so light and bright that we decided a mostly-black pillow would contrast nicely.
Yesterday she picked up some triangle scraps from the quilt, remarking on how she'd like the pillow to also have touches of Kona Jade, Kona Artichoke and Kona Wine (ok, but not in those exact words). So, I went ahead and used the triangle scraps to make a piecy-improv edging on this large piece of dandelion fabric.
Finished her up with a simple envelope closure, and Ta Da... surprise!
And that, my friends, is what sewing is all about! Weeee! Can I get an "amen"?
