under the Hourglass

I'm calling it A Day.

under the Hourglass

Today Eleni had three appointments - her physical therapist, speech/oral therapist and Bowen touch therapy.

Even though all three therapists come to our home, that's still a pretty full schedule for a sleepy baby and her multi-tasking, pumping, sewing mom.

Therapies got rather backed up because baby spent two days recently in the hospital due to respiratory distress and a high fever.  Thank God she's recovered now and back home with us.

It was so sad to see her sweet little self amongst the beeping machines and needles again.  I wished at the time that there was a way to reassure her that home was not a dream!

Today I've been messing around with some half square triangles, leftover from that Pretty Potent diamond quilt.  I enjoyed turning them into perky little hourglass blocks.... and then what?  Wasn't sure where this would go, but it's trying to become a sling bag.  Modifying this tutorial and crossing my fingers, since I've never made a bag with these kind of handles.  If you just pretend you know what you're doing, sometimes that works.  I wanted to show you the finished bag today, but tis not to be.

Life under the hourglass.
