Drumroll for our next winner - - -

Remember folks, this is a 30 day challenge, but you have 3 months to complete the task! Log 30 design moments now through September - that’s the goal. It’s definitely not too late to join. Click over to 30 Days of Quilt Design to get all the details!

Today I visited our Instagram hashtag #30DaysofQuiltDesign to locate our random winner. Congratulations to @Cindy.Vissering whose design Flowering Temperature Quilt was randomly selected!

Flowering Temperature Quilt

day no. 5 @Cindy.vissering

I love Cindy’s idea: “Each petal of the flower is built on the max and min the temperature of each day of the week. One flower per week and flowers and partial flowers or flower buds for half weeks in that month.”

Fresh mint tea

day no. 6 @cindy.vissering

This is so cute! Wouldn’t it be fun to make a tea cup quilt, with symbols on each teacup to represent different kinds of tea? Thanks for sparking the idea, Cindy!

North-South

Day no. 1 @Cindy.Vissering

“The begin letter of North and South (Zuid in Dutch) are the same, 90 degrees rotated. I thought it would be fun to use that block in the quilt for background and accentuate some.
‘North’ makes me think of the climate and landscapes of countries to the north of the Netherlands. And South the same with countries to the south, which is the Mediterranean. Sands and azure blues.
The idea is to pronunciatie the letters N and Z at their halves of the quilt with details in the landscape. Palm trees at the beach, then across some boats and at the top birds in the sky. For North side I am not quite sure yet.”
