Sew Love Fabrics Holiday Challenge Victories!
December is here folks!
Today I get to show off the creations made by our Sew Love Fabrics Holiday Challengers. Bring on the holiday spirit! The original challenge prompted each to work with the fabrics included in Sew Love Fabrics Hip Holiday bundle. They could add additional fabrics and trims as desired and they had a little over two weeks for the making.
First up is challenger Deb of Trio Stitch Studio. She'd been meaning to make a new tree skirt for nigh on 5 years... and look what she finally did crank out thanks (in part) to our challenge:
I mean, WOW, right? She used a pattern from the new book, Simply Modern Christmas, and Star Bursts in green, Ornament Glam in red, and Reindeer Stroll in green, plus some of her own. Goodness, this is gorgeous!
Deb also made a very festive drawstring bag that could surely stand in for disposable gift wrap and these Finnish star ornaments. Count me impressed. You'll have to visit her to see more!
Sherri at Rebecca Mae Designs lived up to her promise for happy holiday houses! You can tell she had fun trimming these up with felt and ribbons and bling. Too cute!
I love this close up that shows off her workmanship. Visit her blog for a holiday house tutorial!
Just look at the adorable miss Mindy, coming to our party with a pile of pretty. I just loved Mindy's idea to make reusable bows and tags from these holiday fabrics. I'm all for decorating a Christmas tree, but putting shiny, wrapped presents underneath is one of my favorite parts of this season.
These ribbons are fitted with elastic and buttons and such to make them really work. Visit Mindy at Three Snippy Sisters for all the details. Psst.. she's got a fabric giveaway too!
And, what's this? Our Penny Patch quilt! Ok, ok, so it's not really ours. It's a gift for a lucky someone on Michelle's gift list, but we can dream. Can you believe she pulled this off in a few weeks? Way to go, Michelle!
Michelle of City House Studios also made a companion doll quilt, as part of her gift. Look at those happy fabrics! I haven't seen anything like that bringing-home-the-tree car print around. Love it!
A great big thanks to all challengers for inspiring us with your creativity! As usual you did an awesome job. I knew I could count on you!
And, of course, thanks to Sew Love Fabrics for choosing such a fun bundle and sharing it with us! If you haven't had a chance to, you can still grab a Hip Holiday bundle of fat quarters (1 1/2 yards) for $12 at Sew Love Fabrics, on sale today for Cyber Monday.
