Bla, bla, bla & Winners!

But, I'll let the winners go first.  Lee of Freshly Pieced and Debra each won a Halloween Fat Quarter Surprise!  I've already contacted you both via email.  Thanks!

a public service announcement (wink)

It was easy to contact Lee & Debra since they have their blogger profiles set to "show email".  If you don't manually check this setting you're a "no-reply commenter".  That means Blogger writers won't be able to respond to your comments or let you know that you've won a contest!  So, without delay, hop on over to Blogger to access your "dashboard" and edit your profile.  If you have a google account of any kind, you have a blogger profile (I think).  Check the "show my email address" line and save.  Ya!

bla, bla, bla

Ok, so I asked for feedback and positive criticism... and I got it! Thank-you so much!  By far and wide and deep, the most common suggestion was more tutorials.    I began to hide under my desk as these comments came in because tutorials take oodles of time.  But, then I started savoring comments like this one,

I'm finding your Colorbrick Quilt Along very helpful, especially all the detailed pictures! You have a clear and engaging writing style that makes it easy to follow along with and I appreciate the work you put into it since I'm a quilting beginner.
Do you know that just makes my day?  Thank-you for appreciating the Colorbrick Quilt-Along.  It has been a lot of work, but to know that it is helping you make a beginning at quilting makes it completely worth it!  And, you have totally convinced me to plan another quilt-along for after the holidays.  There were also lots of votes for Home Decor projects, which are so my thing.  Cool!

Here are some more of your great ideas...

"How you made that adorable hexagon tree."   What a great idea. I'd love to!

Hexagon Tree Block

"A camera tutorial on how you take such good clear pics on your tutes."  Ah, yes.  That would be very handy, wouldn't it?  Expect to see a post on this soon.

"How you pick the fabrics for a pattern, or vice verse."  Ok, that sounds like a challenging post.  I'll see what I can do.  I like a challenge!

"Handwork! I'd love to see some little things like embroidery or trinkets stitched by hand."  Guess what?  I'm posting some embroidery tomorrow.  LOL!

"Holiday Tutorials."  Yes, it's time (finally).  I completed my Spiderweb Christmas Tree Skirt in September and have been waiting to release the tutorial.  Expect to see that early/mid-November.

Thanks, friends!
