Rainbow Road
It's really just perfect to share about this Curves Class project the day after posting my Triangles tutorial. So many of the solids scraps from that project were destined to become part of Rainbow Road.
Ok, so this is my current favorite. Shhhhhh... don't tell the others. Yep, of all the curve projects I've finished so far (because I have a handful left designed, but not made) this one really makes my heart sing and my feet dance and my fingers itch to stitch some more. Too many metaphors maybe? Well, it's just that exciting for me (and I don't mind if you laugh!).
My favorite thing about Rainbow Road is C.O.L.O.R. Has anything every spoke more strongly of color? It's rainbows gone modern. And, in fact, many of the Kona cottons used here are scraps from my Bottled Rainbow quilt.
Did you notice I bound her in that Sweetwater print? I'm smitten. And predictable. I'll do it again.
Hey, look at the back. I so HEART this Ikea print. If by some odd happenstance I tire of rainbows I could totally see using the table runner from this side. The black quilting shows up differently here on the back...as opposed to on the front. That was definitely quilting on a whim.
Ok, I think that about does it! In January and February and March, I'll share snapshots of some projects from my Curves Class here and there. I can't share the how-to's here of course, but a few finished pictures are nice. Happy Sewing!
P.S. Tomorrow, January 7th, is the last day of early registration savings! Thanks so much for your support already. I've started thinking about homeschooling curriculum for next year - looks like mama can stay home! What a blessing. I am truly grateful!
