About
Hello there, and welcome! I’m Rachel Hauser. So glad you came to see what’s stitching.
All my life I've loved color, so it's my joy to design, sew and quilt along with you. I share my heart here, about three days a week. You'll find I'm always stitching something lively from home decor to quilts and cooking up grand schemes for quilt-alongs and such at every turn. But it hasn't always been this way - I learned to sew summer of 2009 and didn't start sewing with a passion until 2010. In 2012 I started teaching original online classes. Those have been the most fun, so I hope you can join us next time!
I sew on a Juki TL 2010Q. I absolutely love my machine, which is non-computerized (i.e. very durable) and ideal for piecing and quilting. You can read more about my Juki here.
If you want to use your stitching to benefit those in need, check out do. Good Stitches {a Charity Bee}. It's a virtual quilting bee I founded that now has lots of sewing circles benefiting all kinds of great charities. See how you can join in at our Flickr group.
I hope you'll subscribe to Stitched in Color so that you don't miss a thing. And, please leave your comments – I’d really love to know you stopped by! You can also find me on Instagram and Flickr.
I’m mother of two big kids and one sweet baby. They keep me busy, but not too busy for creating. Stitched in Color is my work-from-home business that allows me to homeschool my children. I feel incredibly blessed to be right here, right now trying to savor this wonderful life – sweet, beautiful and changing everyday. A big “thanks!” to all the inspiring bloggers who share this friendly space with me!
