Three Things: Book, Crosscut + Stitched Tag Sale
Afternoon! I have three bits of news for you to take into the weekend.
Thing 1: My Book
I have some good news and some bad news on the book front. Are you ready? It’s going to be OK.
First the bad news: my book is not going to be published this November, as expected. Sad face. But don’t worry, The Quilter’s Field Guide to Color is alive and well! The delay is due to a change in distributor network for Lucky Spool Media, my publisher.
Now the good news: my book is going to be published next summer under the Abrams imprint. Abrams is Lucky Spool’s new distributor, and as they have a wider reach that means we should see The Quilter’s Field Guide to Color on more shelves when it does arrive. That excites me, as I’ve worked hard on the book and have hopes it will be a useful resource for many.
As luck would have it, this switcheroo happened not long after I finally announced the book to you a bit ago. Ironic, yes? Thanks for your patience!
Thing 2: Crosscut HUGE Sale
Crosscut Sewing Co. wants to encourage you to plan your fall sewing and holiday gifts now in order to avoid the seasonal rush. As an added incentive they are having a HUGE fall sale. From Friday 10/12/18 - Sunday 10/14/18, take 30% off almost everything in the shop.
Use the code ILOVEFALL online or in-store to save 30% on all books, patterns, notions and of course FABRIC! The sale even applies to already discounted sale items.
I felt that was too big of a deal to pass up!
Thing 3: Stitched in Color Tag Sale
What’s a Tag Sale, you say? Well, think of it as a massive decluttering in preparation for our move next summer. This is my sewing-related purge. Turns out there are many handmade creations and tools that I could let go of. I’ve listed FMQ tools, since I use my longarm now. A few baby quilts are listed for a steel because they each have tiny flaws. I have samples I made for classes and even a few things I made for our home that were very gently used and have so much more life in them.
I’m committed to not becoming a hoarder, so I’m hoping that you could use these things. Or maybe you have some holiday shopping to do? Thanks for taking a look!
My Tag Sale is starting now, though I’ve just started loading what I have to offer. I’ll be adding more items throughout the weekend and will let you know next week when everything’s up. I’m pricing this stuff to move, so don’t be offended at the low prices for handmade goods. I promise this is not a regular thing for me, just a way of passing on the goodies to someone who can appreciate them. Fingers crossed.
I’m happy to combine shipping and refund extra fees if you make more than one order over the weekend, as things become available. If you think that might be you, please just ask me to hold off on shipping your order.
