Welcome, Dragonfly Quiltworks!
One of my longtime readers is also my newest sponsor! Lora is the proprietress of Dragonfly Quiltworks, an Etsy fabric shop. She ships from sunny Florida and specializes in modern fabrics with clean, minimalistic style.
Also, Dragonfly Quiltworks’ collection of 108” wide fabrics stands out from the rest. Wide quilt backs are time-saving and money-saving too. Dragonfly Quiltworks has over 35 different widleback fabrics in stock! Here are a few I’d use in a heartbeat. Actually, some of these I’ve used before. Haha.
If you like designers such as Lotta Jansdotter, Zen Chic and Carolyn Friedlander, you're a perfect match for Dragonfly Quiltworks. I’m really excited to see the newest Zen Chic collection, called Quotation, available now. It’s a fresh iteration of an old favorite - Comma - which was a big hit back in the day. Check it out:
Quotation includes my favorite dotted print of all time! Isn’t that grid of tiny dots fantastic? The white version is a great background fabric that I’ve used in a ton of projects. My Rainbow Clams quilt is a favorite example.
I got a chance to enjoy the reprint collection earlier this year, when I quilted several of the quilts Brigitte Heitland created for her collection. Dragonfly Quiltworks even has the printed Zen Chic patterns for sale, complete with cover quilts longarm quilted by yours truly. Yay!
Are you a Lotta Jansdotter fan? Sometimes her fabrics are a bit hard to find. In that sense, Dragonfly Quiltworks is a gold mine. Lora really loves Jansdotter and keeps her fabrics in stock as much as possible. You’d be hard pressed to find a better source for Lotta’s timeless Scandinavian style.
Of course, there’s lots more to discover at Dragonfly Quiltworks, including solid fabrics, a beautiful selection of linen and modern, clean line choices from designers such as Carolyn Friedlander, Allison Glass and Ruby Star Society. I almost made a bag for myself with some of the Ruby Star canvas below. I still need to get back to that project idea, actually. Linens and canvas do have a wonderful texture for home decor and bags, don’t you think?
