a Pas de Deux quilt top
My second Pas de Deux quilt top is complete! It feels soooo good to wrap this up before our trip. Now I can leave my sewing room tidy and ready for fresh starts. Plus, I can honestly say that after adding the last bits, it came together as I had hoped.
I added more petrol blue via the HST blocks in the quilt’s upper left corner.
That HST addition offers a nice counterweight to the petrol blue sawtooth star.
At the bottom edge of the quilt, I added another touch of coral in order to weave that hue through and through. Then I began to puzzle together the quilt top. It’s so rewarding to sew those joining seams!
Oh happy swirl of patchwork! The colors and shapes are so sweet and dainty. She’s a sugar plum fairy for sure.
I plan to quilt and bind this Pas de Deux quilt as soon as we return home from the states. In the meantime, I’ll look forward to watching your Pas de Deux quilts develop via #PasdeDeuxquilt. Happy patchwork!
