welcome Mrs. Quilty

Know what, friends? It’s been quite a while since I have introduced a new sponsor. Things have been going strong with my existing partners, and I didn’t really need to have another.

But, then Mrs. Quilty got in touch. She offers a subscription box service for quilters with an impressive value to cost ratio. I think that you are going to like it, so I am happy to spread the news. Let’s take a moment to get acquainted.

It’s a familiar story - Mrs. Quilty was started by hobby quilters who wanted to help others fall in love with this craft. Once you catch the quilting bug, you crave more excitement, more colors, more unique shapes, patterns and fresh inspiration. The idea is simple - provide all this in one box so that you can get right to the sewing and enjoying.

So, what is in that box? Mrs. Quilty offers a monthly subscription club with only one kind of box. Each month you receive a coordinating set of 100% cotton fabrics, a full color magazine/instruction book with templates and a surprise little notion to make quilt-making more fun. Of course, the fabrics, projects and surprise gift change every month, because that is the fun of it after all!

At $29.97 per month, you might expect to receive a little bundle of cloth. But, actually, you will be happily surprised with 14-16 pieces of premium cotton fabric. Those are fat quarters (22x18 or 20x16 inches)! So, yeah, that’s already a good value. I think that the magazine also looks very nice, and some of the notions I see are certainly handy, like the wonder clips for example. That’s why I’m impressed with the value/cost ratio.

When you choose to subscribe, you can get a 12% discount on your first box with code Quilty12. Future boxes will ship out around the 7th of each month. Of course you can cancel any time and you can return your box for a full refund, if you’re not satisfied.

Mrs. Quilty is focused on the US market. The beautiful boxes ship from Indiana and international shipping is not available. Thus, I haven’t tried a box myself, but I’ve read the reviews (bottom of this page). It seems to have been a good fit for many.

Mrs. Quilty is like a little birthday present - every month! The fabrics they send are high quality. They’re always something different and outside my ‘normal‘ which is good because it stretches my artistic abilities a bit. The patterns included in the box are well written and fun to make!

I hope you’ll give it a try, whether for yourself or for a quilty friend who doesn’t so much enjoy the fabric-selection phase. If you find that you hesitate at the beginning and find it hard to commit to a project, I would think that sewing Mrs. Quilty boxes will allow you to relax and dive in.

Let me know how it goes!
