very happy Sashing
The simple patchwork that I have been sewing this week is making me happy. They are very efficiently using my smallest scraps and creating such a cheery, scrappy vibe. Of course, a quilt full of these blocks could get chaotic, so I will set them in sashing for that yummy classic, cozy, quilty look.
I auditioned soft pink sashing and creamy bisque sashing, but as soon as I tried this gorgeous green, I was sold. Maybe it's the Christmas vibe of this Kona Emerald green (from Purple Stitches in the UK) or maybe it’s the fact that I love, love, love green in every form. Whatever the reason, I am totally jazzed to be using this color. It is going to make all my random scraps look good.
Can you guess why I am making teeny tiny 2” finished triangle-in-square blocks? Think happy sashing. Think very happy sashing!
Oh, yes! This is going to be good.
