Umm...

Thanks so, SO much for your help planning my new sewing space.  Your many comments are a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Basically, you're completely awesome!

Do you mind if I also tell you that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed?  The decision to take over the green room for my sewing space arrived Thursday night. Then on Friday night we booked a one-night family vacation in Charlotte (taking our kids to a water park for the first time - I can't wait!).  We'll be heading to Charlotte this Saturday and making the Ikea trip on Sunday before heading home. So I'd better get this sewing room figured out!

Ok, also on Friday I heard about an opportunity to do my first craft show at the Indie Craft Parade in Greenville, SC.  This particular show has been a very successful event that I've enjoyed shopping in the past.  A craft show has been on my mind for awhile, so it was really just a matter of time before I tried selling at one.  But, this show runs early September, so I'm not sure if the timing is bad... or good?  Handstitched Class ends early August and even while it's going on I must be working on other projects.  So... do I want to take on making a lot of inventory right now?  And designing a booth?  Definitely nervous to commit.

And, in the midst of all that I'm also feeling uncomfortable with our transition to "summer vacation".  Without our homeschooling, I feel like I'm not connecting to the kids enough during the week.  I need to and want to work on creative Stitched in Color stuff, but I know it's easy for me (soooo productivity oriented) when there are no boundaries to work, work, work.  For the first time I'm feeling like I want to work less (while also wanting to work more), and I don't know how to do it.  Weird.

Am I a basket case?  Yes.

Did I do yoga this morning?  Yes.  That must have helped, right?

Oh, and I quilted a quilt this weekend?  Yes, again.

basted.

basted.

These are just the "basted" pictures.  Will show you the finish after I get the binding on.

Don't forget, you're completely awesome.
