Clamshells again!
Clamshells are such pretty little things.
Do you like my second version of this little pillow, first designed and shared last year for the original Curves Class? It's the girl version. So, totally girl. I'm thinking baby's room? Not mine, mind you. But someone's.
I used a pretty chestnut brown linen and various powder pink and brown prints. I really like this pillow done up with a simple, solid background. It lets the clamshells steal the show.
This is one of the projects I improved based on student feedback. From the two classes, Curves and Handstitched, I replaced a total of 3 projects and improved several others. This Clamshell project earned a second go so that I could photograph the newly streamlined applique process. Thanks to those original Curves Class students who pointed out the easier way!
It's been an interesting experience improving and offering encore editions of Curves and Handstitched, rather than creating a new class. I guess I though the process would be a bit easier, but I end up putting a good bit of time into improving because that's just how I roll. Also, the interest in both classes has been less than I had hoped, which leaves me thinking that I'll rarely repeat classes. It's more fun for me to make new ones instead!
So... there are still spots open in both Curves Class and Handstitched. You haven't missed anything, as class starts January 14th. I know some folks were hoping to wait until I offered these classes another time, because of timing issues. Ok, so that might not happen! You've been warned =) Remember, if you purchase Premium versions you'll receive the eBook with complete lessons and video for you to keep. That's the best way to do the class later, on your own time, if necessary.
P.S. I'm going to enjoy browsing through your fabric mosaics on my downtime here at Disney. Totally fun! See you all again soon.
