dear Cabbage
Have I been a little quiet this week? I think so. Actually I feel completely out of touch with my creative side, as we've been away from home all week on a special trip to Maine. It's lovely and there have been some neat opportunities to try new things, but I so. miss. making! Though taking a break has been good for my creative soul, judging by the number of things on my mind now that I'd love to start stitching...
I'll be back next week with some vacation-y photos, but today I want to show you something special. Let's see. I guess it begins with this island, Cabbage Island, which is off shore of our lodge. See those boats? We've learned to sail them! Oh, but that's not what I wanted to show you.
Things really got interesting when I came upon this cat in the gardens. It's name... also Cabbage. Cabbage the cat.
Cabbage and I bonded immediately. I really couldn't take my eyes off of the cute little fellow, so I followed her down towards the beach. Loving that yellow lichen. Unabashedly.
Soon Cabbage settled in along the shore to take in the sights and sounds of the surf, when what should she spot out of the corner of her eye?
She's light on her feet, if not especially subtle... in for a closer look.
Well, what Cabbage found seemed especially curious and especially worthy of sharing. In fact it is the very most perfectly delightful news! It's early to see signs, being just 5 weeks along, yet there it is... we're pregnant!
Thank you for your love and prayers.
p.s. dear Cabbage has stowed away in my suitcase. She hopes to make a home with a precious new soul come March!
