toys for Eleni

Thank you all for your sweet compliments on yesterday's quilt.  Truly the encouragement I receive in this space is one of the things that keeps me creating.  So appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts!

Guess what?  I've finished some baby toys

and, of course, all the colors.  The Lizzy House ducks are my favorite, hands down.

Now I have to admit that this project is one I'll never repeat.  Working with so much fusible interfacing was not really my cup of tea.  I found myself sighing, "Baby had better REALLY like these boxes..."

Puzzle Ball

By contrast, this puzzle ball from Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts is one I'll probably make again and again, when the opportunity comes by.  I'm even saving a second set of the cut rainbow fabrics for that very chance!  The three-dimensional color relationships were a fun little challenge to work out.  I couldn't keep everything in rainbow blends, but I did make sure that every fabric combo is at least pleasing to my eye.

It's a baby toy that mesmerizes mommy.  Want to see?

So satisfying!

Now these pretties are tucked away in this kitchen shelf, where kitty Susan can't seem to find them, but I can enjoy them day by day.

Because bits of handmade beauty are one of my favorite ways to sweeten a day!
