Scrap Challengers!

Lark Scrap Challenge! Ooooh, the fun part!   Although it's always super tough to choose just 4 challengers, it's so exciting to tell someone that they are ON for the challenge.

Thanks for sharing your ideas for our Lark Cottons Spots and Dots bundle.  Soooo many good ideas!  Do remember that there's a fair bit of luck to which ideas get chosen.  My only hard fast rule is to include both contestants I know (as in, I've seen them around the vastness that is blogland) and contestants whose spaces I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time through this process.

This time around you all seemed to see quilts in this fabric, so 3 out of 4 challenges are planning to make quilts.  I usually try to have more variety, but the masses have spoken!  Without further ado, our challengers are...

Martha of Weekend Doings, who would "love to use it to make a wonky star quilt."  Yep, these dots would be adorable as wonky stars.   And I think we can all agree that Martha has a way with dots and classic blocks already.  Let's see stars!

Jamie of Busy Bee Quilts is our next challenger.  She's been showing her sunny face around this space for quite some time, so I'm glad for a chance to invite her to show her stuff.  Jamie says, "I only make quilts, so how about a pretty 4 block quilt with Dottie Dresdens? I'd make it as a wall hanging and probably use the navy piece for the centers and try to find a binding that coordinates"  Commenters were clamoring for dresdens.  Jamie, you're our girl!

Miss Kristine of My House Full brings some variety to the day with a mini Swoon tote bag.  "I haven't done a swoon block yet, and these fabrics seem to be begging for it. Love this bundle!"  Dots + Swoon = Sure Thing.

Buntings from the rafters

And, lastly, Daisy of Ants to Sugar, who announced, "I'm firmly on the rainbow bandwagon now. I'd make a large mini/baby quilt in either a rainbow diamond blossom or a spiky sunburst - I'd have to see the scale of the dots to pick which one!"  Alrighty, Daisy, work your magic!

And if you're thinking, "she totally should have picked me", you're probably right!  I'll try to pick you next time.   A great big thanks to Lark Cottons for this fun challenge.  (And, if the scrap bundle had your name written all over it, do visit Lark to get what's meant to be yours.)

Have fun, challengers!  We can't wait to see what you cook up!!!
