Jade MEadows Positivities Quilt
Color Palette: multicolor with a green emphasis
This version leans toward spring, with lots of fresh greens and soft ice cream shades.
I started this off by choosing the jade green background color. Next I found a few favorite Anna Maria Horner prints for the showy Visions blocks. From there I developed a palette with the soft, dreamy energy that I had in mind. And lots of GREEN!
Although green was my theme, the quilt ended up including almost every color of the rainbow. That’s handy for scrap sewing! I choose colors for my 9 base solids and followed the quilt plan to scatter them across the quilt. You’ll find information on where the 9 base solids appear in the quilt on page 5 of the Positivities Prelude document. To keep things interesting, I used both dark and light values of green, plus warm and cool versions. Here that shows up as warm limey green and cool evergreen. Utilizing both value and warmth concepts gives you lots of variations to work with!
