Visions, imagine the possibilities

Now that my New Maid quilt is complete, I am back at sewing Positivities quilt. Club members just received the third pattern booklet last week, so it is early days yet in our 12-month club. But I am already feeling eager to finish off my quilt!

Today I have sewn the Visions group, one of the easiest groups to sew. It is the August block-of-the-month, a time when you could probably do with an easy win.

If you look at the quilt mock-up, the Visions blocks are those large, simple blocks at the bottom, right corner and also one at the top, left corner. This is your chance to showcase a favorite large-scale print, something that doesn’t come by too often in our patchworks.

Are you sewing-along with Positivities? You may want to choose your Visions prints now. Opting for showy, multi-color prints is a good way to really cement your color scheme. You can cut (2) 9.5” squares for the main Visions blocks. I decided to showcase the Compromise print by Anna Maria Horner. I just adore this pair of blooms, leaning in to each other so cozily. And - bonus - the color scheme matches my Positivities palette with the Tilda base solids beautifully!

I also brought in an older Anna Maria Horner print that has long been one of my favorites. All together the vibrant, jewel-tone palette is very Anna Maria and very me.

It is not too late to join us! If you join the club now, you’ll receive the January - March editions right away and then the April edition when it is published early next month.

Exciting News!!! Since your response to Positivities has been so positive, I am going to run a 2nd Chance club that begins in April! It will be a faster-paced club that spreads out the quilt over 6 months instead of 12. Same content - different start date and more compact pace. Maybe you will join us? More details soon.

xoxo,

Rachel
