The Colors of Corsica

What a privilege it is to take a holiday - any holiday - and especially one to a beautiful island like Corsica. The sea is my favorite place to be, so naturally warm island vacations are my very favorite kind. Corsica is a French island situated in the Mediterranean Sea between France and Italy. It proved to be an absolute wonder for hiking, swimming and site-seeing. The impressions of the trip are sure to make their way into my quilts in the years to come. I hope you will enjoy my 10 days in Corsica, organized by color.

Blue

Deep marine sea, clear-sky cornflower, stormy clouds, silver blue waters.

Peach

Glorious sunsets, rocky peach cliffs, terracotta rooftops, the pale stone stairs of King Aragon.

Neutrals

Stone walls, weathered streets, sun-bleached cliffs, worn wooden details.

Aqua

Saturated doors, pristine waters, aquamarine coves.

Green

Bountiful evergreens, lush gardens, cliffs blanketed in green.

Thank-you, Corsica! It was a vacation to remember. With any luck we’ll come back someday soon!
