We should make one 12” finish block and a few smaller blocks in increments of 3”, 6” or 12”. Eva-Marie will puzzle the resulting blocks together to make a totally unique patchwork sampler.

For starters I’ve decided on an ombre colored background for my sew-along Teeter Totter quilt, as with this original version. However, I will use fewer colors and colors more alike in value so that the background is subtly ombre. Hmmm, what if I challenge myself to use a color that I often neglect for the background hue?

Here comes some happy patchwork fun! It’s pattern release day for Teeter Totter! I adore quilts with sharp, exciting angles. The energy of triangles can be cathartic or playful in a way that squares just are not. But I have to admit that sewing with angles usually takes some finesse. Teeter Totter is special that way. This triangle quilt is ideal for beginners! It’s scrap-friendly and precut-friendly too.

Friends, I am so pleased with how this turned out! My latest Teeter Totter quilt exudes a happy energy with a confetti of bright colors on bright, solid white. It looks positively resplendent in Keukenhof’s lush, colorful gardens! This was fun to sew and to photograph.

Their artistry inspires me, particularly when it comes to color, and I managed to capture some favorite palettes.
