day no. 14 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign

I just adore these Dusty Rose X’s amid the pretty palette I’ve created with Tilda Solids using PreQuilt. This is another #30daysofquiltdesign idea that I would enjoy sewing. Hooray 🎉🎉🎉 It’s an easy, repeating block.

day no. 15 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign

Okay, this one is a favorite! The shapes remind me of medieval knights and princesses. I made this using PreQuilt again. It’s just one repeated block which could be traditionally sewn or sewn with machine paper piecing. The more I use PreQuilt the more I enjoy it because of the color play it rewards me with!

day no. 16 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign

No. 16 is Sundragon, inspired by a castle window in the television series, House of Dragons. This design is set on point, so I found it easiest to use my graph paper at a slant. All of the curves are machine sewn with the drunkard’s path block, except for the circles in the center. Those would be appliquéd. Could be pretty, don’t you think?

It is hard to believe, but this design is made from just one block which I have rotated in different directions. I think there are some really cool things going on here, but it ended up too busy overall. I will revisit this and pick out some interesting things to make a simpler design.
