your weekend dose of Quilt Designs
Do you know what? I am finally making quilt ideas regularly enough that it all begins to flow and comes much easier.
Making clear goals was necessary. In the summertime I imagined that I would make the designs when the inspiration struck, but that didn’t happen as often as I expected or was rarely enough to make me sit still. This month I took a planned and disciplined approach to when I would make designs.
Now I am finally nearing the end of the challenge and can look back with gratitude at all the ideas that I have generated. Yay!
hourglass curves
day no. 22 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
This one is a fav! Simple, but powerful. I’m digging this color palette too, which suits my new living room. Do you like it?
Park Bench
day no. 23 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
This one is a casual riff on the hourglass block. Each block would be sewn in two colors, as an hourglass. The quilt can be divided into three sections and there are several standard blocks. I can see myself sewing this for sure.
crossWeave in boysenberry
day no. 24 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
I love this patchwork idea, which I shared earlier in blues and greens. This time I wanted to try it out in my future living room colors as a possible wall quilt. These tones are delicious together, don’t you think? Made with PreQuilt.
Under the Maple Tree
day no. 25 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
I first spied this maple leaf block two years ago @thecraftyquilter. It was love at first sight! Today I used PreQuilt to imagine what kind of block setting would please me. This one has some open elements that remind me of looking up from under the tree at the sky.
