Rounding off this Quilt Design Challenge!
Hip, hip, hoorah! | did it! I completed my personal 30 Days of Quilt Design and now I have an exciting collection of designs which I look forward to creating in cloth. It was a stretch for me, but I am glad that I invested my time in this challenge over the last few months.
And now I also have the pleasure of announcing the lucky winner of The Confident Stitch grand prize! But first, here is my last batch of quilt ideas:
rainbow over head
day no. 26 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
I made this quilt a year ago on a dark blue background. I would like to explore it again and create a pattern! In this mock up, I have used all Art Gallery solids. Sugarplum is the background color. Of course, I would use scraps for the plus shapes!
enschede
day no. 27 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
This is the logo for Enschede, the city in which I live here in the Netherlands. Next year the city is celebrating 700 years! If I sewed this I would use two main colors with either the background or the cross shape being from multiple print fabrics.
mini rainbow over head
day no. 28 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
This is a 41” square version of my Rainbow Over Head quilt pattern, which I am developing for a 2025 sew-along. I think it would be so cute as a wall quilt in my sewing room! I used PreQuilt to mock this up in Art Gallery Pure Solids, using the color Fresh Water as the background.
plum preserves
day no. 29 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
This time in PreQuilt I challenged myself to use few colors and classic blocks. Those little plus shapes remind me of flowers. So sweet! The whole effect of Plum Preserves wholesome and cozy.
figs and honeycombs
day no. 30 in #30DaysofQuiltdesign
🎉🎉🎉 Figs and Honeycombs is no. 30 for 30 Days of Quilt Design! This wide format Honeycomb Stars quilt is another candidate for my living room wall. I like the ghost stars. And with that I have #30daysofquiltdesigncompleted 🎉🎉🎉
